With yesterday’s new developer preview of OS X 10.9 Mavericks , Apple has changed the necessary steps required to build a bootable USB installer for the preview – an important tool to quickly and easily install a fresh copy of the preview on your Mac. Rather than copying a single install image to a thumb drive, there’s now a bit of tap-dancing involved to make it work.

Apple Posts Gorgeous Retina-Licious Background From OS X Mavericks


Remember that gorgeous wave-themed background Apple demoed alongside OS X Mavericks today? Apple has just posted it for public download on their website – and interestingly, it is available in a size large enough to suit a Retina iMac or Retina Thunderbolt Display, despite the fact no such device has yet been announced.
