Google+ iOS app gains filters and photo editing capabilities in update

Google’s free social networking app, Google+ , has gained some new features in an update that became available today. For the first time, the app provides photo editing features that let users add filters, rotate images, or crop pictures. The app has the usual complement of filters to make your shiny, high-resolution iPhone and iPad images looks foggy and scratched, just the thing for keeping up with the other social networks and their retro image filters.

WSJ: Apple acquires WiFiSLAM indoor location tech startup

In a reported $20 million acquisition deal, Apple has bought the “indoor GPS” company WiFiSLAM , according to the Wall Street Journal Digits blog.

A French 3D printing company by the name of Sculpteo has begun offering 3D printed iPhone dock adapters for third-party iPod speakers . The adapters allow users to use Lightning connector iPhones and iPods in older dock connector speaker systems. The beauty of this system is that it allows Sculpteo to offer these adapters for a wide range of older speaker systems without the upfront costs of hiring a factory to manufacture thousands of units
